Optimize the production environment including escalation, notification and problem management.

Thorough knowledge of Computer Operations functions, using systems commands and JES2 commands.

    Job Description: Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Electrical Engineering Manager:

      Manages electrical engineering department activities for the design and development of subsystems products.

      Identifies the most efficient and effective process with which a standard design goes from concept, through production to sustaining activities.

      Evaluates, develops and maintains training regimes and requirements for electrical engineers.

      Evaluates and supplies adequate software and hardware tools for electrical engineers.

      Works with Program Managers and Business Managers to allocate resources to new programs and plan future capacity.

      Provides technical support and electrical engineering expertise for the business unit with direct interface to customers, manufacturing and suppliers.

      Generates and implements an engineering department budget appropriate for the business unit and monitors and approves all expenditures to insure compliance with departmental guidelines and development budgets.

      Establishes the need for and recommends additional personnel, appraises work performance and salary increases of personnel within the department.

      Provides continuous employee coaching to ensure maintenance of technical and project skills and provides future career guidance and development.
